FORE THE CURE
ABOUT THE CAUSE
CureDuchenne is a national nonprofit raising awareness and funds to cure Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Paul and Debra Miller founded the organization in 2003 after their son, Hawken, was diagnosed with Duchenne. Since then, the organization has funded numerous scientific projects to fast-track research and new treatments for Duchenne, while advocating for the community with education and support programs.
Ryan and Paige
Getzlaf
Ryan Getzlaf is an NHL All-Star and 2007 Stanley Cup Champion who played a memorable 17-year career for the Anaheim Ducks, 11 as team captain. He also won gold medals with the Canadian hockey team at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics. Ryan Getzlaf retired from the Ducks this spring as the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.
Longstanding dedication to CureDuchenne’s mission from Ryan and Paige Getzlaf has helped generate tremendous awareness and funding for our cause over the years.
“Ryan has hit numerous accomplishments on the ice. But none are as important to me as working to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.”
— HAWKEN MILLER
